چکیده

Traditional agriculture represents the most-extensive food-producing segment in world. However, these agroecosystems are widely and closely associated with rural poverty, reflecting dualism between subsistence commodity-producing sector peripheric countries. Therefore, socially adapted technologies may be a reliable helpful methodology to enhance crop production. Humic substances natural organic biostimulants extractable as water suspensions from renewable sources such agricultural biomass farming residues. These easy-to-handle extracts mixed plant-growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) used within low-cost technological application circular economy strategy. Few investigations have been focused on use of biostimulant practices marginal or crops. Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) two essential foods for poor communities territories tropical subtropical The aim this study was evaluate effect foliar humic/PGPB cassava crops grown an soil very low fertility. In pot trials, applied improved plant development 200% increase root weight cassava, while preservation active diazotrophic by 10- 100-times formulation humic acid. real field systems, treatment increased yield 70% 50%, respectively thereby allowing simultaneous nitrogen savings best performance obtained at lower N fertilization rate. can play role transition process, helping food security autonomy impoverished farmers. Combining elements traditional knowledge modern science is create innovative enabling sustainable management agroecosystems.

Influence of Farmyard Manure and Weeding Regimes on Growth and Yield of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench) in Zaria

Field experiments were conducted during the 2010 and 2011 cropping seasons to investigate the effect of farmyard manure and weeding regimes on the growth and yield of okra. The study was a factorial experiment laid out in split plot design, replicated three times. Farm yard manure was assigned as main plot treatments, while weeding regimes was assigned as sub plot treatments. Parameters measure...

Enhancement in the germination, growth and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) using pre-sowing magnetic treatment of seeds.

The effect of pre-sowing magnetic treatments was investigated on germination, growth and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus cv. Sapz pari). The dry okra seeds were exposed to sinusoidal magnetic field induced by an electromagnet. The average magnetic field exposure was 99 mT for 3 and 11 min and seeds with no magnetic field treatment were considered as control. Both treated and non-treated s...

Fertilizer Requirement for Densely Planted Okra ( Abelmoschus esculentus L . )

A study was conducted at Mahailluppallama, in the Low country Dry zone (DL1b) of Sri Lanka, during Maha (2008/2009) to determine the fertilizer requirement of Okra when planted at closer spacings. Three (03) fertilizer levels (T1DOA recommendation/ plant, 2 DOA recommendation/ unit area and T31 1⁄2 times DOA recommendation/ unit area) were tested using Okra varieties Haritha and Green Tender (F...

Evaluation of Vegetative Growth Parameters in Biofield Treated Bottle Gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) and Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus)

The objective of the study was to assess the growth contributing characters of biofield treated bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) and okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) seeds. The seeds of both crops were divided into two groups, one was kept aside and denoted as untreated, while the other group was subjected biofield energy treatment. The variabilities in growth contributing parameters were studie...
